With 3 children 5 and under, I could hardly wait to spend time with my friends at our weekly moms’ group. It was the only time each week when I had free childcare, breakfast, good teaching and connection time with my friends. We would share the good, the bad and even sometimes the ugly. I counted on my friends for comfort and to share truth with me when I needed to change.
The Bible that says, “A friend loves and all times and a sister/brother is born for adversity.” Proverbs 17:7. So how will you be a better friend today?
Action Steps:
First, take an inventory of the friends you have. Are they a good influence on you and your family? Do they bring peace and joy to your life? Do they encourage you?
Then decide if you are all those things to your friends. You may have some work to do as well. If you need to be encouraged, find a friend that will encourage you. If you need prayer find a woman that is a prayer warrior and pray with her.
Blessings to you as you nurture your Friendships.
P.S. Facebook is a good way to keep up on the news of the day with your friends. It is not, however, a good way to stay connected in a friendship. Connectedness requires face time every once in a while. At the very least a phone call from time to time.
